Investing in oilseeds

The Zoroastrian Trust Funds of Europe’s (ZTFE) treasurer Dorab Mistry is considered a leading analyst of oilseed and vegetable oil price behavior. Addressing audiences involved with the movement of oilseed prices in Malaysia, Singapore, China, India and Japan over a span of four months last year, he shared a platform with investment guru Jim Rogers in Singapore. But the highlight of 2008 was when wife Shenaz and he were invited as guests of honor at the annual forum of the Japan Oilseed Processors Association in Tokyo.

Mistry’s acumen and easy sociability has enabled him to undertake and complete many a complex task with the aid of his team. As president of the ZTFE (1997-2005) he saw through the successful implementation of the new premises project including the buying of the new premises and its refurbishment in time for the hosting of the Eighth World Zoroastrian Congress, the sale of the old one and the happy investment of the proceeds of the sale as well as the hosting of Prince Edward and Countess Sophie, the first time ever that British royalty visited the ZTFE.
