Homi Dalal of Perth, Australia, has informed Parsiana, via an e-mail of the India-based website, www.friends­tosupport.org, where one can search for a particular blood group and find thousands of addresses. The website enables one to search for blood donors from all over the country and abroad at the click of the mouse. It also lists the day’s requests for blood. One can register online as either donor or volunteer after reading up on relevant facts such as who can and who can’t donate blood. Started by the Hyderabad based friends2support group, the service completed two years in November 2007 and now boasts 20,000 donors and 50 members.
