Seats for Parsi students

Regular contributor Rashid S. Medora of Ahmedabad has written to Parsiana to draw attention to the fact that one seat in each faculty of the Agricultural Universities of Gujarat has been reserved for Parsi students. The information was contained in an admission notice for 2008-2009, the advertisement of which appeared in Gujarat Samachar dated May 24, 2008 and brought to Medora’s notice by Noshir K. Anklesaria.

Students who have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate board examination (HSC) with English in the Science stream are eligible for admission to residential undergraduate courses in the Agricultural Universities of Gujarat. However, since the last date for submitting applications for this academic year was June 17, 2008, students wishing to avail of the reservations will have to wait until the next academic year.
