Appeal for autistics

I thank all those who have sent donations to the S. P. Jain Sadhana School for the developmentally challenged (www. yougivemewings.org) last year. Sadly, the proportion of Parsi Zoroastrians in the School is very high. Most parents, including myself, suffer from trauma and are able to carry on only because of intense prayers, hope and faith in God. Thankfully, at present there are a number of "symptom alleviation cures” available with which parents manage to control their own depression, as I do.

As a result of a poll conducted in America it has now become known that autism, aspergers and other spectrum disorders including hyperactivity and attention deficit disorders are not diseases of the mind but are the effects of mercury and other metal toxin poisoning which act on the stomach, the duodenum and intestines. The mercury gets into the child’s body in various ways like vaccines, which are the main culprit (the Amish sect in America refuses to take vaccines and they have zero autism, aspergers or hyperactivity). Mercury can also get in via tooth fillings.

Many parents have been told that there is no relationship between immunization and autism, even when the child has suffered a seizure at the time of vaccination. However, 72 percent of parents have observed their children developing normally until they were immunized. An additional four percent of parents felt immunizations were partially responsible while 12 percent were not sure although some of them had their suspicions. If the findings of this poll are representative of the larger autism population, then the results could indicate that a significant number of children currently diagnosed within the autism spectrum have vaccine-induced autism.

A typical scenario for vaccine-induced autism is for a child to have an immediate reaction to immunization, followed by changes in behavior and regression in developmental milestones in the weeks and months after the immunization. The child becomes unhappy, loses eye contact and becomes withdrawn. A typical regression in developmental milestones is for the child to lose some or all language acquired prior to immunization.

In America right now there is a one billion dollar initiative to defeat autism and aspergers, thanks to "Autism Speaks” and other groups prevailing on the US government. The Internet is flooded with symptom alleviation methods like herbal Chellation cures (Chella­tion is a process wherein heavy metals like mercury are gradually removed from an afflicted person’s body). This has to be done under strict medical supervision. Unfortunately there are no doctors known to me who provide this treatment in Bombay.

Among the cheap and effective cures is Epsom salts applied on the body in cream or liquid form. Magnesium is known to act fast on the intestines and stomach as the sulphate reacts with mercury and removes it in the form of mercury sulphide. Milk of magnesia is also a wonder cure and helps in reducing hyperactivity and encourages regular stools. Another cheap and effective cure is orange juice or all sources rich in Vitamin C. I am glad my daughter Nicole loves amla, Tang and all fruit juices. She is showing a marked restfulness with Epsom salt massages and is consuming lots of Vitamin C.

I salute the Americans for spotting an epidemic and reacting fast. Just the other day I saw on http://www.autism coach.com numerous CDs for training and learning and curing autistic and aspergers children and adults. Many affected children love the computer and Autism Coach offers high-quality, hard-to-find software titles from the US, UK, Canada, Australia and France that will help them.
