Allahabad Anjuman

Despite their dwindling numbers, there are "only 27 Parsis left in Allahabad,” as conveyed by Capt Homi Dandiwalla, president of the Allahabad Parsee Zoroastrian Anjuman, 18 Parsis attended the general body meeting of the Anjuman held on March 21, 2007 at Allahabad’s Quality Restaurant.

Dandiwalla: unanimous choice

At the election for officebearers, Dan­diwalla was unanimously reelected president for a further period of three years, as was vice president Rustom Gandhi. The election was preceded by the expression of good wishes for members who had their birthdays or wedding anniversaries during that week and followed by a dinner at the venue, as per a write-up forwarded to Parsiana by Dandiwalla.
