Indian Cowboy debuts
A new play, Indian Cowboy, written by and featuring Zaraawar Mistry, has been created in collaboration with Kathleen Sullivan. Scheduled to go on board the Stages Theater, Houston, at the end of March and at the Asia Society Museum on New York’s Park Avenue in mid April, it chronicles the misadventures of a young man perennially lost, a foundling located under a banyan tree in Hyderabad, India raised by three Parsi brothers, notes the Manashni report. The humorous yet compelling tale, tracing the young bumbler from India to America and back where he finally comes to terms with his environment, was to be performed by candlelight to live music by Keith Lee, adds the report.

Upcoming actor Zaraawar Mistry
Described by the Minneapolis Observer as "…truly excellent storytelling woven with a fine balance of humor and compassion,” the project was made possible in part by support from the Jerome Foundation, the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation and the Helen and Will Little Endowment for Performing Arts together with the New York State Council for the Arts.
