Seeking solutions

Though the Parsi community is educated and intelligent, people talk on controversial subjects without sound study or insight. Their arguments are immature, misguiding, illogical and sometimes childish. There is a difference between hearsay, stray information, knowledge and wisdom. Ignorance creates confusion, needless controversies and conflicts. When half-truths and white lies are spread, the problems are further compounded and distorted. Fads are not facts and a little knowledge is more dangerous than ignorance.
There are two types of wisdom in religion. Wisdom is kherad. Asnide kherad is firm inner conviction with a sound basis. The other is goso-shrute kherad, shallow hearsay. Silence is the strongest argument when two contradictory opinions clash and arguments are put forward in public with some evil intent. To criticize while avoiding facts and seeing only the dark side of the subject is misguiding. To believe established truths with faith is more beneficial than to argue without making a sound study of the matter. Immature statements result in much confusion.
Let us promise to come together and compromise in order to find the correct solutions. To doubt every fundamental religious tenet can never give righteous direction. Religious convictions and orthodoxy were established by wise sages of old after due consideration. To challenge such wisdom without understanding cannot enlighten.
