A peaceful solution

If we are determined, we can find a cure for all the unending, unwanted conflicts and controversies by using our intellect and thinking positively. This will help to make life harmonious. This is more so since we are small in number, like a joint family. Unity in diversity can bring about a peaceful solution.
We have a large population of Irani Zoroastrians in Iran and other foreign countries who have a different lifestyle. They don’t interfere with us or disturb our projects.
We have freedom of choice, Fravarane astoo-e, in our religion. Though differences in choice cannot be avoided, that should not result in separation or partition. Live and let live is an effective maxim to restore amicable relations. There is a wide gap between the elders and progressive youngsters who have different ideas about how to live life. The wise way to avoid differences would be for them to reside separately with their families and continue good relations with love and care for the elders. Times are fast changing and we are faced with challenges. We have to tackle them unitedly with patience and prudence.
Those who are allergic to our religious tenets and ancient culture may stay apart in a separate society, fulfilling their liberal dreams at their own expense and with responsibility by managing a neo-Parsi society. The community should not then bother about these experiments and the liberal brigade should not trespass on the affairs of the mainstream community. No one should compel others to accept their convictions.
We have today three groups — Shahenshahi, Kadmi and Fasli — who live in peace with one another. We could well have one more "neo society.” They will be, of course, part and parcel of our community without any grudge or bias from the others. All groups aim for the same goal — the uplift of our racial heritage and preservation of our religious tenets. So there is no reason for differences. All keys in a harmonium are different, but they can create harmonious music. Firm, unbiased determination is required to bring about harmony. We can live amicably, even though we may be on different tracks.
We maintain friendly relations with all other communities. Why should we not do the same among ourselves? Let us continue to pray together and thereby stay as one.
