Woman of the year
Adding another feather to her much-decorated cap, Dr Firuza Parikh, director of the Department of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics at Bombay’s Jaslok Hospital, was voted Hindustan Times Woman of the Year, 2007. She emerged the clear winner in the March 2007 SMS poll sponsored by Whirlpool, as the most influential "agent of change.”

Firuza Parikh: agent of change
Parikh, a leading gynecologist and infertility specialist has pioneered many new and successful techniques in assisted reproduction. She is also a stem cell researcher. Having graduated from KEM Hospital and the Seth G. S. Medical College, Bombay, Parikh has been visiting Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, USA from 1992 to 2005.
