Education seminar

The Seventh Waldorf (Rudolf Steiner) Education Seminar will be held in Khandala from Sunday, May 8 until lunchtime on Saturday, May 21. The two-week residential seminar will be held at the Bai Dhunmai Cawasji School (D. C. Public School) in Khandala. Boarding and lodging at the school will cost Rs 175 per person per day, plus Rs 1,300 tuition fees for the entire seminar, per person.

The two-week seminar will be conducted in two groups: Beginners and Advanced. The lecturers at the seminar come from Bombay and abroad. Participants will learn new ideas and methods in creative education and artistic activities for school children of all ages. Some of the subjects in the seminar will be: anthroposophy — Dr Rudolf Steiner’s philosophy; child development in the light of spiritual science; the four temperaments; nature and ecology; the Waldorf kindergarten; the Waldorf curriculum from class one to class eight.

Artistic and creative activities include eurythmy, an art of movement, water color painting, drawing and form drawing, singing and flute playing, poetry and drama, games and rhythmic exercises.
