Donating for documents
In its efforts to preserve and conserve old manuscripts, records and other material pertaining to Indo-Iranian literature and Irano-Sanskritic culture, international heritage, etc the Bombay Parsi Punchayet was assisted with a donation of Rs 18.30 lakhs by the State Bank of India.

The chairman of State Bank A. K. Purwar presented the cheque to Punchayet chairman Minoo Shroff at the Bank’s corporate center in Bombay on June 17, 2004. "This precious collection” dating around the mid 19th century "will be preserved scientifically,” notes a press release from the Punchayet. These records which are saved on a CD-ROM will be given to various cultural centers, universities and libraries throughout India and the world, adds the release.
