To observe November 25 as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women a seminar was organized on "United Nations’ Role in Enhancing the Status of Women and Children” by the United Nations Committee of Zonta International District 25 under the chairmanship of Havovi Dotivala. Edul Patel became the first Parsi student to win the R. D. Mohta Trophy instituted 27 years ago to recognize S. F. S. High School’s Best Student of the Year, mentions a press release. The Nagpur based S. F. S. School has a strength of 2,500 boys. A student of tenth standard, Patel was presented the Trophy for the year 2003-04 taking into consideration his overall performance as a student and his extracurricular interests in debates, elocution, quiz and sports.



Fitness expert Firdosh Anklesaria who runs the Inch by Inch Gymnasium at Marine Drive was conferred the Young Achiever Award — 2003 by the Indo-American Society. He was among the 22 selected to receive the award at a function presided by the US consul general Angus Sim­mons at Bombay’s Taj Mahal Hotel on December 13, 2003. Listed among the professionals, Anklesaria was included for having "contributed to the development of people-to-people relations between India and the US.”
