All for a good cause

After many years of service as field medical officer for The Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation Limited, Dr Gool M. Disawalla retired and, with her husband Dr Manchi, son Ronnie and family, had been living in Bangalore for the past 28 years. She gave her services to every good cause and was specially active in the field of education of physically challenged children, as well as in the care of the elderly.

Disawalla: reached out

A patron of music and fine arts, her energy level in all good causes belied her frail physical appearance and reached out to the community with a heart full of care and compassion. She passed away peacefully at the age of 85 on June 9, 2003, after a prolonged illness patiently borne.
