ZAGNY’s board

Homi Gandhi heads the current (2002-2005) board of directors of the Zoroastrian Association of Greater New York (ZAGNY). His team includes vice president Fali Shroff, treasurer Jasmine Kotwal, secretary Arnavaz Patel and joint secretary Diana Dinshaw.

Since a number of enthusiastic people wanted to be a part of the board, a reso­lu­­tion was passed to enable the board to have six members at large, notes the ZAGNY newsletter of April 2002. They are Goolu Baria, Kamal Davar, Usheen Davar, Toni Ghadially, Cyrus Hirjibe­hedin and Vispi Kanga.

The board’s primary mandates are to create an awareness among the host community of who Zoroastrians are, while energizing ZAGNY members to participate and enrich the local community and the community of the tri-state area that includes Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. ZAGNY has been and continues to be an active member of FEZANA. The board is also interested in encouraging member participation on the various ZAGNY subcommittees, notes the newsletter.
