Kerman’s new fire-temple
Reporting news from Kerman, the newsletter of the Zoroastrian Association of Metropolitan Chicago (November 2002) states that a new atash kadeh has been established in this Iranian city. Circular in design, the new fire-temple lit its fire from the old atash kadeh. The "two atash kadehs (the modern and the historical) will co-exist side by side in a sign of co-existence of two generations and two schools of thought!” Mobed Kourosh Niknam from Tehran was said to have joined the local mobeds in the performance of the jashan with many Iranian Zoroastrians converging on Kerman for the occasion.
