Iranian anjuman edicts

The Tehran Anjoman of Mobeds is said to have addressed a letter to the Tehran Zoroastrian Anjoman disclaiming conversion into the Zoroastrian religion, notes a posting on ZNA, dated October 19, 2008. Claiming that the change is based on requests from Zoroastrians, it notes with "due respect to those wise scholars who after lots of study try to get involved in Zoroastrian community activities and wish to convert to Zoroastrian faith,” that as per the rules, "under no condition we can convert them. Hence we are requesting our non-Zoroastrian countrymen to participate in only two national ceremonies of Mehergan and Sadeh.”
The Tehran Anjoman of Mobeds has also advised the congregation that every Ardibehesht roz of the month be called ‘Adorian Day.’ In this regard, many Zoroastrians in Tehran are reported to have gone to the main Adarian in Tehran and performed group prayers.
