Eductionist encouraged
Honored by the education department of the Panchayat Samiti Maval on October 8, 2001, Homai H. Wadia, principal of the Bai Dhunmai Cawasji High School in Khandala, perceived the Taluka Stiriya Aadarsh Puruskar that she was awarded as "a definite source of encouragement, not only to me as a person, but for the School...” "Ma’am,” as her students and colleagues address her, has been in the field of education for the last 30 years as teacher, supervisor, head mistress and principal, notes a press release from A. Kadam, editor of the school newspaper, Awakening.

Wadia: for strong bonding
She has been associated with this School since 1997 during which time "she has put in her heart and soul for the School, the results of which can be seen,” writes Kadam. Pursuing the School motto "Virtus et Labor,” Wadia declared, "I hope we can make every child perform to (his/her) best. Let no child be happy at having to leave School. Let there be such a strong bonding that the child is pained at leaving School...I would also like to see all my ex-students returning to School each year to celebrate our Founder’s Day on February 14 and I request them to send in their valuable contribution in the form of articles, old photographs and memoirs to enhance our School magazine.”
The message the educationist sought to impress on others in the field was: "Unconditionally work for children believing that some day it will make a difference to them.”
