Mother India Award

Shernavaz H. Baria, principal of Secunderabad’s Bai Ratanbai J. Chenoy Parsi High School, was presented the Mother India Award for Education Excellence in Delhi on December 7, 2006 at a function attended by ministers, members of Parliament and other dignitaries. The award, presented by Manik Rao Gavit, Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs, was given in recognition of her sterling merit, excellent performance and outstanding contribution for the progress of the nation, as per a press release from the School. This is Baria’s third national award and sixth overall.

Attributing the greater part of her success to the cooperation, interest and sincerity of all those working at the institution, a modest Baria made special mention of the enthusiasm of her pupils and their parents, adds the release.
