12WZC registrations open

"Registration for the 12th World Zoroastrian Congress (WZC) 2022 is now open,” noted an announcement on the Congress website wzc2022.nyc. For the Congress to be held from July 1 to 4, 2022 in New York City, the registration rates will depend on the age of participants and the time of registration. For children aged four and below, the registration rate of USD 100 (Rs 7,570) remains the same, irrespective of the time of booking. For those in the five to 11 age group, the rates vary from USD 250 (Rs 18,926) for early bird registration until January 31, USD 350 (Rs 26,496) for regular registration from February 1 to May 31, and USD 450 (Rs 34,066) for late registration from June 1. For those aged 12 to 17 years, the rates vary from USD 375 (Rs 28,388) to 450 to 550 (Rs 41,636); from 18 to 65 years, from USD 500 (Rs 37,851) to 600 (Rs 45,422) to 700 (Rs 52,992); and for those aged above 65, from 500 to 550 to 650 (Rs 49,207).
A single WZC2022 registration includes all regular WZC2022 sessions, coffee/tea during scheduled breaks between sessions, three lunches, including the Awards Lunch on July 2, a performance by the World Zoroastrian Symphony Orchestra on July 2 evening and the Gala Banquet Night Dinner on July 3. Registration for children includes babysitting service for ages 0-4 years (only during regular WZC2022 sessions), children’s program for those aged between five and nine years, Tween/Teen Track for ages 10-15 years. Confirmation of registration is subject to the submission of all required information on the Registration Form and full payment of the registration fee that can be made as a secure online payment with a valid credit/debit card from Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover or by cheque.
During Covid times, prospective delegates may be more interested in the cancellation and refund policy in light of the uncertainties of outbreak of new variants, travel and lockdown regulations. As specified by the organizers, for a cancellation email received anytime, relating to Covid-19 caused by prevailing regulations/restrictions imposed by applicable authorities or caused by Covid-19 illness of registrant: refund will be issued after deducting a 10% administrative fee, subject to verification of proof. For cancellation email received on or before May 31, 2022 relating to non-receipt of visa by registrant, refund will be issued after deducting a 15% administrative fee, subject to verification of proof. For cancellation email received on or before May 31, 2022, relating to other reasons, refund will be issued after deducting a 20% administrative fee. For cancellation email received on or after June 1, 2022, no refund will be processed unless it is necessitated by reasons having a bearing on the pandemic. Registration cancellation requests will be processed within six to eight weeks after the WZC2022 end date of July 4, 2022. Applicable bank charges will be deducted from all refunds.
"Registrants are responsible for and strongly recommended to purchase their own medical and travel insurance including event registration protection. We encourage registrants to review all applicable travel, visa and other requirements/regulations prior to completing their registration to minimize registration cancellation requests,” urge the organizers.
The venue of the Congress being the New York Hilton Midtown, a special rate has been negotiated with the Hotel for WZC2022 registrants beginning three days prior and ending three days after the WZC2022 dates, subject to availability. The room tariffs vary from USD 249 (Rs 18,850) for a room with one bed or two beds to USD 269 (Rs 20,364) for triple sharing and USD 289 (Rs 21,878) for quadruple sharing. Room rates per night are exclusive of applicable state and local taxes, fees and assessments.
