Football fellowship
The passing away of Argentine football legend Diego Maradona in November 2020 led London based Sarosh Zaiwalla, senior partner of Zaiwalla and Company, to describe him as "a kind man who had many supporters.”
Zaiwalla was reminded of Maradona’s visit to London in October 2015 when they had met at the Intercontinental Hotel and discussed the footballer’s interest in supporting an English charity where Zaiwalla was a trustee to create opportunities for homeless children in the UK and Europe to learn and play sports. Prior to their meeting, Maradona’s manager had visited the Zaiwalla and Company office when he presented Zaiwalla with a football signed by the entire Real Madrid team.
