Madras fund-raiser
Reportedly the first ever fund-raiser on behalf of the Phil and Mary Clubwala Jadhav Trust on November 24, 2018 saw over 1,000 people attending a staging of the two-and-a-half-hour comedy play Run for your Wife. The Behroopiya Entertainers production was staged at the Sir Muthiah Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall in Madras. The chief guest at the event was Dastur Khurshed Dastoor who addressed the Madras Parsis the next day during his maiden visit to the city. A jashan and a gahanbar were held, noted Delhi resident Feroza Jassawala who was roped in to raise funds for the Trust.

"Your dedication and commitment to the noble cause will be remembered for a long time to come,” noted Nariman Mogrelia, chairman and trustee of the Trust commended Jassawala. The fund raiser dedicated her efforts to her late parents Suber and Jamshed Madan. The Madans had "enjoyed 40 years of their life in this city...I hope I have given them a reason to smile,” she said.
The Trust was constituted from the estate of social worker Mary Clubwala Jadhav (1909-1975) who in 1952 had established the Madras School of Social Work. Also the first lady sheriff of Madras, Clubwala Jadhav was a Member of the Order of the British Empire, and a Padma Vibhushan awardee. The Trust supports institutions which work with the terminally ill, senior citizens and orphans, physically and mentally challenged youth and the under privileged. The Madras Parsi Zarthosti Anjuman, the Jal Phiroj Clubwala Dar-e-Mehr and the Madras Parsi Association are also beneficiaries of the Trust.
