This group of 132 students from all over the world was invited to visit the US in 1963 by the International Red Cross; it included United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon. Fifty years later, VISTA’s first reunion was held in Washington DC in 2012, and has now become an annual event, according to Commissariat.
