New projects in Nagpur
Newly constructed medical emergency rooms and the renovated panthaky’s residence of the Nagpur Parsi Panchayet (NPP) were made possible with generous financial assistance by Dinshaw’s Dairy Foods Private Limited. Both were inaugurated on Parsi New Year day, August 17, 2016 — the panthaky’s residence by Aspi Bapuna, NPP president and proprietor of Dinshaw’s and the three emergency medical rooms at the hands of Jimmy Rana, Zervin Rana and Jamashp Bapuna. The news appeared in bawabuzz, the newsletter of the Nagpur Parsi Gymkhana, Volume 5-2016. The work on the restored priest’s residence was done by Rukshad Bhagwagar of Forms.

The Parsis of Nagpur gathered at the Mulla Dar-e-Meher on Navroz morning for a jashan performed by seven priests led by Ervad Percy Panthaky, head priest of the fire temple. Addressing the gathering after the jashan, Aspi appealed to all present to donate generously towards the medical fund as the Parsi population of Nagpur is now ageing and families are facing difficulty in meeting medical expenses. Naushad Bhagwagar immediately pledged a sum of Rs 2,50,000 toward the fund of the NPP, bawabuzz writes.
