A uniting force
People from other small communities also have their differences, but they have a person heading the community whose diktat they will follow and hence are able to maintain their homogeneity. Parsis have no single person whose authority will be accepted and respected by all.
In the past perhaps the uniting force was the loyalty and belonging to the community which generated a feeling of oneness. However, now with over 38% of youngsters marrying outside, this force has weakened considerably and is no longer effective.
Wise persons must ponder over who can be the uniting force in the present times. If we can find that and are able to use it, we can become once again united and face all issues besetting the community without needing to approach the courts of law. KERSEE KABRAJI

We are fortunate in not having a "single person” deciding on our fate
