Heritage and humor
Hats off to Berjis Desai for his inimitable column "Bawa Musings” in Parsiana, upholding Parsi heritage — not the least of which is Parsi humor. The value of humor is often not realized. It can help resolve the most intransigent disputes by injecting bonhomie among the warring parties, thus paving way for a give and take attitude that could result in the issue at hand being resolved to the satisfaction of all.
I do not know how many of Desai’s pieces have appeared so far, but may I suggest that a booklet be compiled of all those to date, which could then be supplemented in further editions as required.
