Speeches in Singapore

By Sherene Vakil · June 21, 2015
At a two-day celebration to mark the fourth anniversary of Zoroastrian House, the Parsi Zoroastrian Association of Singapore invited Dr Homi Dhalla to be guest speaker on April 18 and 19, 2015. One day earlier Dhalla had addressed the Interreligious Organization of Singapore where he made a Power Point presentation on the many faces of peace, mentions a write-up received from Godrej Dotivala, public relations officer of the Bombay Parsi Punchayet. Dhalla’s talk was appreciated by an audience of over 100 persons belonging to various religious denominations who involved the speaker in a lively question-answer session.
On April 18 Dhalla showed the Zoroastrian youth of Singapore slides of Zoroastrian culture and some luminaries of the Parsi community. His brief introductory talk on Zoroastrians was interspersed with interesting examples from Parsi history. On April 19 he addressed over 100 adults of the Zoroastrian Association showing them a DVD of various aspects of our culture, followed by a Power Point presentation on "A brief study of Zoroastrianism — In theory and practice.”
