"Standing High in Challenging Times” was the theme of the Congress and several speakers with extensive experience in the field spoke about managerial evolution and skills required to succeed in a fast paced business environment. Since secretaries and administrative professionals play a pivotal role in the challenging global business network, they are committed to remain abreast of the latest developments in technology and corporate methodology, the email notes.
The ASA congresses, which are held every alternate year in different Asian countries, are designed to honor secretarial staff and equip participants to meet these challenges. To ensure the success of this Congress Maharukh Bhiladwalla, ASA president, Cheryl Matthew, organizing chairperson, Natasha Mavalwalla, ASA coordinator, Mahnaz Irani, finance-in-charge worked tirelessly for over a year along with dedicated members of the organizing team.
In Karachi the Zoroastrian members of the group were pleased to meet their counterparts who went out of their way to take the ladies around the city, showing them the various Parsi colonies, the Karachi Parsi Institute and the two agiaries. Many friendships were forged and members now look forward to a reunion in 2016 when the 23rd ASA Congress is scheduled to be held in Manila. Mundroina records the gratitude of the IASAP to members Meher Panthaki and Veera Mavalwalla who made it possible for the delegates to get their visas to attend the Congress in Karachi.
