In Hansotia’s honor

In memory of Dr Mehroo Hansotia, the well known obstetrician and gynecologist who passed away on February 14, 2009, her husband Dara donated a sum of one crore rupees to the B. D. Petit Parsee General Hospital on May 16, 2014. He has also committed a sum of about Rs 80 lakhs towards the complete expenses for building a community hall next to the Atash Adaran proposed to be built by The New Bombay Zoroastrian Association Charitable Trust, the foundation for which was laid on June 15, 2014 (see "Faithfully laying the foundation,” Parsiana, July 7, 2014). The Cusrow Baug resident revealed, when Parsiana contacted him, that he has additionally been disbursing sundry sums of money to deserving persons and causes since the past one year in honor of his late wife.
