“Gifts of love”

I was delighted to read the article "Gifts of love” (Zoroastrians Abroad, Parsiana, April 2004) on Dr Firoze M. Ichhaporia of Montreal, and as a trustee of his estate, I would like to list some more gifts of his love.

Last month, from his estate, a sum of $100,000 was sent to The B. D. Petit Parsee General Hospi­tal, for the treatment and medicine for poor Zarathushtis. A marble plaque will be installed in due course in his memory.

Ichhaporia: a generous soul

Beside the scholarship donation to the Laurentian Regio­nal High School, where he was a teacher, a cheque of $ 50,000 was sent to The Lachute Hospital. A plaque will be installed in due course.

He has also bequeathed significant amounts to his family members and to needy colleagues and friends in Montreal and Lachute.

Ichhaporia was a teacher to our son, and we had known him for 31 years in Canada. We all miss him dearly.
