Sponsored trip to Udvada

By Sherene Vakil · July 21, 2014
The Lodha Foundation sponsored a second trip to Udvada for 49 members of the Parsee Gymkhana on June 22, 2014 so that they could worship at the Iranshah Atash Behram. Earlier, on June 1, 2014, the Foundation had taken a similar number of members to Udvada, mentions an email received from Minoo Khan, president of the Borivli and Suburban Zoroastrian Association.
Devotees outside Udvada’s J. J. Dharamshala on a trip sponsored by the Lodha Foundation

The journey commenced from the Sethna Agiary in Tardeo. A vegetarian breakfast and tea were served on the bus, and there was a short halt at Atithi Hotel. The group freshened up at the J. J. Dharamshala in Udvada and proceeded to offer their devotions at the Iranshah. Later, a vegetarian lunch of dhansak, pattice and stew was served on the balcony of the Dharamshala where the manager Adi Patel had arranged seating for them. After resting for a while and partaking of tea and biscuits, the group boarded the bus at 4 p.m. and headed for Bombay. There was a short halt at Hotel Sagar; the group disbanded at the Sethna Agiary at 8.30 p.m.
The email notes the group’s gratitude to Member of the Legislative Assembly Mangal Prabhat Lodha, corporator Sarita Patil, Kaivan Zaiwalla and Khan, for sponsoring and organizing the trip.
