“Honor for dentist Antia”

I was overjoyed to read "Honor for dentist Antia” (Events and Personalities, Parsiana, April 21, 2014). Dr Framroze Antia, who rendered selfless service to dentistry and the people for over 60 years richly deserves the recognition.
I am a student of his living in Kota, Rajasthan. Antia was my examiner for conservative dentistry in 1970-71 in the University of Bombay. I was fortunate to join the Department of Atomic Energy in 1972 at the Rajasthan Atomic Power Station Hospital. I also worked as dental surgeon under the able guidance of Drs Fali S. Mehta, Antia and Sam K. Sahukar at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre Hospital which was then functioning on the third floor of the J. J. Hospital premises before shifting to its present site in Trombay.
Antia was very warm and affectionate and always encouraged young dentists. He would tell me to work hard and well whenever I met him at the J. J. Hospital or at the Anand Bhawan dispensary.
I congratulate him and wish him the best. Dr CAWAS ANKLESARIA
