The entertainment program-cum-fund raiser for the Junior Red Cross (JRC) for Jamshedi Navroz this year was the Parsi Gujarati natak Marriage nu Spot Fixing which was staged at the Sophia Bhabha auditorium. Dinyar Contractor’s comedy, featuring in its cast Jim Vimadalal, Errick Elavia, Jamshed Bagli, Huzan Wadia, Pheroza Modi and Contractor himself, had the audience laughing from start to finish, mentions a report on the event sent by JRC to Parsiana.

Management guru and former chairman of the Bombay Parsi Punchayet (BPP) Minoo R. Shroff, chief guest for the evening, lauded the achievements of the JRC, especially in the fields of youth development and social service. Chairman Godrej Dotivala, who is also public relations officer of the BPP, dwelt on the activities of the JRC, while chief sponsor solicitor Burjor H. Antia of Mulla and Mulla, Cragie Blunt and Caroe noted that the aims and objects of JRC laid emphasis on the concept of living for others, the report mentions.
