WZO-India’s appeal

To enable financially disadvantaged members of the community to visit the Iranshah along with their families, the World Zoroastrian Organisation-India (WZO-India) is constructing a new two-storied building in Udvada (opposite the Irani Bakery) which will have 16 self-contained rooms. This establishment will be run along the lines of Katila Lodge, where we charge Rs 40 per head for lodging. We also plan to provide all meals at reasonable rates. We shall be subsidizing part of the expenses, as we have been doing for Katila Lodge since the past 11years.
The project cost, including furniture and fixtures, is estimated to be Rs 1.2 crore, of which we have collected nearly Rs 38 lakhs. To help raise funds for the project we organized a play, Just don’t do it, at Sophia Auditorium on December 25, 2013. We would also request donations from readers for this worthy cause. All donations of one lakh rupees and above will be listed on a granite plaque, while a separate plaque will display names of donors of Rs 10 lakhs and above.
