“Aiming for a sixer”
In your Editorial Viewpoint "Aiming for a sixer” (Parsiana, October 21, 2013) you refer to "two stars in one orbit.” More apt would be these lines from Kalidas in the Indian context: "Ek mayan mé do khadag/dékha,/suna na kaan (One never hears of two daggers in one scabbard).”
I must admit that I hated the looks of Victor Mature in Samson and Delilah. Also, musicals like Hair, West Side Story or South Pacific may not ring a bell in Parsi farcha-eating, orthodox-but- women-ogling old timers, who will jump with joy if your humorous allusions can invoke the decadent double entendres of Adi Marzban.
