Vadodara Dharamshalla

Whenever I visit Vadodara (Baroda) as a faculty/educator/trainer at MS University, I always stay at the Parsi Dharamshalla despite the facilities available at the MS University Guest House, for the simple reason that it is truly a home away from home where one experiences warmth and hospitality.
The Zarathushti community should avail of the facilities offered by the Vadodara Parsi Dharamshalla campus, which is being maintained under the able stewardship of Baman Rustom Cama, president, Shree Parsi Panchayat, Vadodara, Hira Baug, Shree Behramji N. Servai Parsi Dharamshalla and Hostel, Fatehgunj Post Office, Vadodara 390002.
Minimum charges are levied for boarding and lodging. There is running hot water round the clock. Parsi youngsters pursuing higher studies or working in Vadodara should utilize these facilities, as some girls from different parts of India are doing. Motherly care is provided to students and visitors alike with delicious food catered by the caretaker, Ruby Khajotia.
The Dharamshalla campus also has a library, grounds and the multi-purpose Community Hall, which is at present under renovation but will be ready shortly.
It is also heartening to note that BUZY-EDU for the benefit of Parsi youth is active under Cyrus Cooper, president as also the Seth Framji Cavasji Contractor College, Contractor’s Bungalow, Framji Road run and managed by Jeroo Contractor, advocate and Nikiti Contractor, educationist.
The community should bless the visionary Behramji N. Servai and the families who contribute wholeheartedly to provide comfort at very low cost for benefit of the community.
