Athravan trust

I recently found an old brochure of the Athravan Educational Trust (AET). A public meeting was held by the trustees of AET on May 11, 1985 at Cusrow Baug to educate the Parsi community about the objectives of the Trust and to ask for donations. Many Parsis had donated millions of rupees to AET. Twenty-seven years have passed since then. I wish to ask the trustees of AET a few questions.
Who are the present trustees of AET?
What is the corpus of AET?
What is the annual income of AET? How much money have the trustees spent on the objects of the Trust in the last 27 years? How much money has been spent during the last five financial years?
How many mobeds have been helped in the last 27 years? How many mobeds have been helped in the last five years? What sort of help has been given to the mobeds?
Has any money been given to any high priest in the last 27 years?
Till today I have not seen even one year’s audited accounts published in the Parsi Press.
The trustees of AET have said in the past that AET is a cosmopolitan trust. How much money has AET spent on non-Parsis and non-Zoroastrians in the last 27 years? How much money has been spent on such persons in the last five years? What sort of help has been given to such persons?

Parsiana forwarded Desai’s letter to Homi Ranina, trustee of the AET, for his response. Since there was no reply Parsiana telephoned him. He claimed that he had not received the email and asked us to send the letter to Shernaz Panthaki of Zoroastrian Studies by hand. This was done on March 25, 2013. There has been no reply from that quarter either till the time of going to press — editors
