“Countering the pests”
In "Countering the pests” (Editorial Viewpoint, Parsiana, December 21, 2012), the editor was supposed, by our dear WAPIZ (World Alliance of Parsi Irani Zarthoshtis) friends, to have "ended up with a whole lot of egg on his face.” Maybe so! My question is: "Was it a WAPIZ-bred vulture egg?”
I cannot help wondering if WAPIZ, in its equivalent of your "Milestones” column, will publish a fortnightly termite count, since Dr C. S. Lattoo has been "persuaded” to ignore the "forest” floor beneath which anti-religious maggots now enjoy regular gut-busts on buried diclo-Parsi remnants.
As for "barking up the wrong tree,” perhaps the Dhongiwadi (sorry! I meant Doongerwadi) overseers will redirect their reprieved termites’ activities, ensuring that the wee beasties continue with their deconstruction of the right trees in Lattoonic peace.
"Barking mad,” I’d say, but let that pass!
