“To learn from example”
Thank you for the excellent coverage of the XVIth North American Congress ("Relevance and resilience,” Parsiana, August 21, 2012) and Federation of Zoroastrian Associations of North America (FEZANA)’s 25th Anniversary ("FEZANA as facilitator,” Parsiana, September 7, 2012).
However I would like to draw your attention to a statement in your editorial ("To learn from example,” Parsiana, September 7, 2012) that "the Zoroastrian Society of British Columbia was the first to be officially registered,” states Lovji Cama. In fact, the Zoroastrian Association of Quebec (ZAQ) was the first to be so in 1967. The Zoroastrian Society of British Columbia (ZSBC) was established in 1968, even though our respected and beloved Jamshed Pavri was very active on the North American scene (see FEZANA Journal, Vol 21 No 2, pp 58-59).
