He spoke of the need for truth and honesty while delivering judgments and lauded the contribution of four generations of the Pardiwala family in the legal field. Chothia then read out the sanman patra which was handed over to Justice Pardiwala by Kotwal on behalf of the BPA. Representatives of several Parsi anjumans, mostly from Gujarat, also felicitated the judge on the occasion, the write-up mentions.
Thanking all present for their good wishes, Justice Pardiwala shared with the gathering his recollections of his school and college days, his decision to leave his hometown and start his legal practice in Ahmedabad. He spoke of his humble beginnings, crediting his parents and his wife for being his "pillars of strength” whose support through those early days of struggle was crucial.
The evening’s function ended with a vote of thanks by BPA trustee Bomi Mahernosh, followed by dinner.
