Thankful for the help

The MLA (Member of the Legislative Assembly) from Malabar Hill, Mangal Prabhat Lodha, spent Rs 10 lakh from his MLA’s fund to have three pavilions at Doongerwadi repaired.
Government funds belong to all citizens and these pavilions are used by all communities, so there should be no objection to the funds being used to repair the pavilions.

Lodha is well respected by the Parsi community. He has written to the chief minister of Maharashtra to have one seat reserved for our community from the minority quota in the Maharashtra Legislative Council as well as one in the Rajya Sabha. On the golden jubilee of Maharashtra state, Lodha was responsible for the Government felicitating prominent Parsi citizens.
I do not think that accepting public funds for repairs to the pavilions in Doongerwadi hurts our sentiments. We are thankful for the help received from Lodha.
