Gracious gesture

It’s not every day that one hears from the Queen of England, so when Parel resident Farokh D. Deboo received a letter from Windsor Castle, he forwarded a copy of the missive to Parsiana.

Queen Elizabeth II: "Thank you for this gift”

Deboo had sent two slim booklets to Queen Elizabeth II — My Philosophy written by himself and The Naked Truth by Kased (The Messenger). Reproduced here is Her Majesty’s gracious reply, signed admittedly by Lady-in-Waiting, Jennifer Gordon Lennox: "The Queen wishes me to write and thank you for your letter which you have sent to Her Majesty, and with which you enclose (the) booklets. It was kind of you to send these philosophical works to The Queen and I am to thank you for this gift and for your message of good wishes which is greatly appreciated by Her Majesty.”
