Prepare a new plaint
Bombay High Court Justices A. M. Khanwilkar and A. R. Joshi have given Meher Master-Moos’ advocate Bapoo Malcolm a month to prepare a new plaint in the case pertaining to the assault on her and Zoroastrian Russian Mikhail Chistyakov in Sanjan on February 19, 2010.
"We should know what relief you are seeking,” stated Khanwilkar on January 17, 2011. When Malcolm replied, "protection” for my client, the judge asked, "protection from whom?” The "respondents,” replied Malcolm. Bombay Parsi Punchayet (BPP) chairman Dinshaw Mehta allegedly led a group of 45 people on an expedition to storm the Zoroastrian College premises and disrupt Chistyakov’s navar initiation ceremony.
Malcolm alleged papers purloined from Master-Moos’ Mazdayasnie Monasterie were being used by the BPP in another court (in a case pertaining to the ban on two renegade priests). He urged the court to send for the papers. He also referred to an "Action taken” report to be filed by the police. In both matters Khanwilkar told him: "After hearing you we will decide on the papers.”
The next date for the hearing is February 16, 2011.
