Bawajis are here to stay

Vultures are almost extinct; and we too are on our way/ Think o’ and tell me folks, to this what do you have to say?
Here we are working hard at rearing vultures/ But not at increasing our population; is this Parsi culture?
By the time the aviary project will bloom and flourish/ Vultures may have little to devour; bawajis may perish.
Maybe nature has planned evolution in such a way;/ But don’t you guys think we bawajis are here to stay?
Let’s work hard to lay our own eggs and hatch them too/ Or there will be very few bawajis left to lament and rue.
Wrack your brains, open your think tanks; "Pachhi Ahura-ni-marji/ Toh oh pyaaré Bawajis, ab jaldi sé kuch idea nikaliyé na, sirji.”
Let us make a resolution not to let down our ancestors.
