“A tale of two varasiajis”

I was shocked to learn that the holy varasiaji who died a short time back was buried at Doongerwadi ("A tale of two varasiajis,” Events and Personalities, Parsiana, September 7, 2010).
Can anyone explain to me why it is not sinful and against the principles of our religion to bury the varasiaji whereas it is absolutely against the Zoroastrian religion to bury human bodies or to dispose of the dead in any way except by exposure to the elements? F. VARIAVA
