Craven attacks

The craven storm troopers led by Bombay Parsi Punchayet (BPP) chairman Din-shaw Mehta went to Sanjan, caused damage to Dr Meher Master-Moos’ Zoroastrian College, desecrated the holy fire and tore the sudreh of a Russian Zoroastrian. These hooligans have perpetrated a sacrilege by misusing their powers.
Who are Mehta and his cohorts to stop anyone from professing our great faith which belongs to all Zoroastrians who wish to teach and spread the religion? Mehta and his men cannot monopolize the religion. Nor does the BPP have the right to interfere in religious matters. They are entrusted with looking after the welfare of the community and its assets.
Again, on the WAPIZ (World Alliance of Parsi Irani Zarthoshtis) Page in the July 7, 2010 edition of a national daily there was a vitriolic attack on the editor of Parsiana and two others for members of all communities to read and exclaim what fools we Parsis are turning out to be. This makes one wonder whether the BPP is WAPIZ or WAPIZ is the BPP? Views, for and against, have been voiced by many in Parsiana, a Parsi magazine, so why this criticism against the editor of Parsiana, Behram Aga and Behram Dastur alone? It smacks of vendetta! Why this practice of discrimination against thinkers and progressive persons with the spirit of good mind and truth?
If the orthodox clan is hurting, so be it. Why can’t they show magnanimity and rise above pettiness? They are doing this only to promote their personal agenda rather than working for the welfare of those who elected them.
