Rescuing a raven

A fledgling raven that fell from a tree and was about to be pounced upon by a cat was rescued by Armaity and Rashid Bamanbehram at the Saher Agiary compound on April 27, 2010 when the duo was photographing a golden wedding anniversary celebration.

The chick was placed in a cardboard box, later taken to Bamanbehrams’ home and fed water with an eye dropper, Rashid notes. Next morning, Rashid and a photographer friend Parag Hate took it to Bai Sakarbai Dinshaw Petit Hospital for Animals where Dr Manu Santosh Sharma examined and treated the bird. Initially placed in a cage it was expected to be released when fit.
