Navroz, a world heritage
The General Assembly of the United Nations Organisation has recognized March 21 as the International Day of Navroz, as posted on the UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation) website: http://www.un.org/News/Press/docs/2010/ga10916.doc.htm
This is great news for Zoroastrians. Those who search for the roots of many Mazdayasni Zarthoshti ceremonies before and during the Navroz celebrations will find undeniable connections with Zoroastrian traditions and beliefs.
Although a big section of the Iranian people (all those who celebrate Navroz) are not aware of their pre-Islamic traditions and beliefs, they will eventually learn about the very foundations of many of their rich, vibrant and happy traditions.
Congratulations to all who celebrate Navroz, especially to Mazdayasni Zar-thoshtis of the world. HOMI DALAL
