It’s quiz time once more
Come November Rustom Baug’s Behram and Ruby Aderbad along with a highly motivated SNWC (Sir Ness Wadia Club) committee will once again organize a quiz event which, they have informed Parsiana via e-mail, will be grander than the one held in 2008. Three teams comprising three members each will participate in the finals to be held on the lawns of the SNWC in Rustom Baug on the evening of November 22, 2009.
Say the Aderbads, "The Sports Quiz held in 2007 was the appetizer, the General Knowledge Quiz held in 2008 was the main course and the one to be held in November 2009 will be the dessert, with a whole lot of ice and spice and topics ranging from history, literature, geography, sports, science and the much appreciated audio round.” What’s life without spice? they ask, hence a unique audio visual round of Hollywood/Bollywood will lend zest to the event. Compered by the young, quick witted fulltime restaurateur and part time quizmaster Arash Shahriarian, the event promises to be a thrilling competition, write the Aderbads.
Participating teams will undergo a grueling and challenging written qualifying round, after which the three sharpest, brightest all-rounder teams will pit their talent against each other in the finals. The qualifying round will be held on the afternoon of the same day and promises to be a tough and comprehensive series of tests. The cream of the Zoroastrian community, of all ages, will compete in this very exciting event for pride, glory and, of course, also for the prize money, state the Aderbads.

Winners with guests of honor and organizers of the All Parsee General Knowledge Quiz last year
The Sports Quiz had 13 teams participating, with one team coming all the way from Surat, while 17 teams vied with each other in the General Knowledge Quiz. Both these quizzes garnered much appreciation from the audience as well as the participants, whose ages ranged from 14 years to 75 years.
In order to sustain this event and make it a grand success the SNWC committee invites philanthropic Zoroastrians to act as sponsors. All the Albert Einsteins of the community are urged to participate in the classic event.
