Global Nano
The Nano Europa, a version of the Nano made by Tata Motors especially for international markets, was unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show in early March 2009. Tata Motors also displayed the Indica Vista EV, the electric vehicle that is currently undergoing tests in Europe.
The European version of the world’s smallest and cheapest car will be powered by a three-cylinder all-aluminium gasoline engine, with five-speed automatic transmission, reports The Economic Times (ET), March 4, 2009 quoting a Tata Motors source. The electric vehicle is being made in association with Miljo Grenland/Innovasjon of Norway.
The launch of the much awaited Nano in India on March 23 will be followed by its diesel variants probably by next year. It would be available in basic, deluxe and luxury models, the paper adds.

Sporting utility — the new Tata Xenon XT
"Tarmac terror or terrain tamer, suggest what you will, the new Tata Xenon XT is a whole new take on SUVs (Sports Utility Vehicles),” says Adil Jal Darukhanawala, in an exclusive drive of the country’s first lifestyle 4x4 truck, reports ZIGWHEELS, February 27, 2009 (a complimentary supplement of ET). "Tata Motors played well by first launching it in Thailand with its local partner there and the Xenon XT seems to have garnered a respectable presence in what is the world’s second largest pick-up market after the US,” adds Darukhanawala.
