The class of 1964
When we bunked St Xavier’s, to go to
Leopold,
With what fun and gusto those memo-
ries we hold,
A cross section of crowd we’d always
find.
Shippies, hippies and collegians of our
kind.
Crowded and loud you had to shout to
hear,
Food always good, affordable, one ate
without fear.
Then our Sea Lounge at Taj was another
favorite place,
Venoise coffee, fresh sandwiches and
many a friendly face.
The majestic vision of the sea from its
bay window,
Made it an experience to sit back, and
savor in slow.
Those then were the days, yes those
days my friend
What happened on 26/11 we’ll never
comprehend.
Life has changed for us the Bombaykers,
Out of stubbornness, will never say
Mumbaikers,
Yes I know the Leopold has opened
immediately,
And Taj too in its old glory we’ll soon
see,
But the hurt and massacre of that day
Who will ever forget or forgive, pray?
